So glad to have your videos back. This match is one of the most crucial matches in the entire series. The lessons Hinata learnt in this match are the ones which made him the great player that he became after Brazil. He finally realised what Kageyama meant when he told him that a decoy is also very important on the court. He realised that along with playing and being on the court, how one is off the court is also really important. I can't bring myself to watch this match when it gets animated honestly because of the amount of despair Hinata is going to be in, but I'll still watch it. Also, the winning point for the Jackals which was scored by Bokuto was only possible because of Hinata's decoy as well.

Honestly, after that I started questioning my existence and "how much did i miss?" The twit was talking about specific moment in episode 16 of season 2 when Karasuno met Nakashima Takeru's family supporting him in the stands. Ofc, Hinata was visibly jealous of it, but Kageyama went silent and lowered his head almost immidiently. Where was his family right now? His teammates' parents weren't there, so there wasn't much reaction. YET. (crying inside every time)

I know that people wanted Hinata to be the one to score the final point of this match but I think how its written is honestly PERFECT. Hinata was the ultimate decoy and in the moment where the people on the court and even the readers thought hed win it for them, he once again fools us all as the ultimate decoy and sets it up for his mentor and team's ace: Bokuto, who now instead of being that kinda aloof and goofy ace we remember from season 2, is now a battle hardened veteran. Its also kinda cool how its almost like a redemption in a way where he had come SO close to winning the Spring Tournament(literally just 2 points away)and now in the final match we see in the biggest moment of the match he comes through and delivers when his team needs him most, when a team would almost certaintly look to their ace to lead them to victory. Just another example of how amazing Furudate is as a writer.
